Une réception publique pour l’exposition collective, Inaabiwin [mouvement de la lumière] aura lieu ce vendredi le 2 novembre, de 19h – 22h, à la Galerie Robert McLaughlin à Oshawa, en Ontario. La commissaire Danielle Printup, moi-même, et possiblement d’autres artistes de l’exposition (à confirmer) ferons une présentation des œuvres de l’exposition. L’exposition réunit Scott Benesiinaabandan, moi-même, Tanya Lukin-Linklater, Meryl McMaster and Greg Staats. Il y a également un texte par Billy-Ray Belcourt dans l’exposition qui a été écrit en réponse aux œuvres.
Oubliées ou disparues: Akonessen, Zitya, Tina, Marie et les autres continue au Musée de la civilisation à Québec jusqu’au mi-février 2019. Conçue à l’origine par Sylvie Paré, cette version itinérante de l’exposition est une collaboration entre Ondinnok et La boîte rouge vif.
Si vous êtes à Tiohtià:ke / Montréal, je participe à une journée d’étude à l’UQàM le 8 novembre qui s’intitule, « Des voix qui s’élèvent ». La table ronde à laquelle je participe, « Vivre ensemble et artivisme » aura lieu de 11h00 à 12h30. L’événement est gratuit. Infos sur facebook aussi.

The public reception for Inaabiwin [movement of light] at the Robert McLaughlin Gallery in Oshawa is happening this Friday November 2, 7-10pm. There will be a walk-through presentation of the exhibition by the curator Danielle Printup, myself and possibly other artists (to be confirmed). The exhibition features artworks by Scott Benesiinaabandan, myself, Tanya Lukin-Linklater, Meryl McMaster and Greg Staats. Also included in the exhibition, is a written response to the artworks by Billy-Ray Belcourt. It is only a short GO Train ride away if you would like to come on out!
Disappeared or Forgotten: Akonessen, Zitya, Tina, Marie and the Others continues at the Musée de la civilisation in Québec City until February 17, 2019. Originally curated by Sylvie Paré, this touring version of the exhibition is a collaboration between Ondinnok and La boîte rouge vif.
Also, if you are in Tiohtià:ke / Montreal, I am participating in a panel discussion Thursday November 8, at the Université du Québec à Montréal, in the day-long event, Des voix qui s’élèvent. My panel, “Living Together and Art Activism” is from 11 am -12:30 pm, and there are activities throughout the day. The event and panel are in French, though I can present in English as well.
